Anna Pelz (b. 1993, Frankfurt am Main, Germany) is an artist based in Hamburg. She studied fine arts at the California Institute of the Arts, Los Angeles and the Hochschule für bildende Künste, Hamburg.

Her practice works through sculpture, photography, scent, sound and room-scale installation, using archival materials, text and discarded objects to explore landscapes, where political, ecological and emotional narratives meet. Through site-responsive research, she follows how human intervention and systems of power shape environments.

Currently her research focuses on petromasculinity, exploring the connection of fossil fuels and right-wing politics, masculinity and extraction. Material is a carrier of myth, memory and value. It reveals transformation and care, displacement and decay, to ask how landscapes remember and how histories continue to shape the present.
